It’s never easy to gauge the true tastes of American audiences when it comes to what they watch and listen to.
The nominations for the 28th Annual People’s Choice Awards–sponsored by the Gallup Organization–were announced on Tuesday and some surprising picks lead the pack. Actor Jason Alexander (of ABC‘s axed sitcom Bob Patterson) received a nod as favorite male performer in a new television series, and the high-octane flick The Fast and the Furious scored a nomination as well.
