Peter Dinklage brushed off Brangelina at Golden Globes

Actor Peter Dinklage enraged friends when he brushed off congratulations from Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt at the Golden Globe Awards last year (12). The Game of Thrones star was so fixed on getting to the stage and accepting his Best Performance by an Actor in a Supporting Role in a Series, Mini-Series or Motion Picture Made for Television prize, he didn’t notice Brangelina reaching out to spend a special moment with him.
He says, “I apparently brushed off Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie on my way to the stage. When you’re in that moment and you’re about to accept an award and you have no idea what you’re going to say, you don’t notice that Brad and Angelina are reaching out to say hello.
“All I saw was a sea of people I needed to get through.”
When he finally got to the stage, Dinklage used his acceptance speech to bring awareness to the plight of fellow dwarf Martin Henderson, who had been left partially paralyzed after a drunk prankster attempted to ‘toss’ him outside a British pub.
The actor tells Playboy, “The morning of the awards my wife and I were having coffee, and she saw a story about him (Henderson) on the Internet. She’s the one who told me, ‘You should say something…’ The whole thing was spontaneous.”
Dinklage reveals he has never heard from Henderson, adding, “He doesn’t need to call me. It’s fine.”
