Peter Frampton’s luggage thief sentenced

A thief who admitted stealing thousands of dollars worth of luggage from rocker Peter Frampton has been handed a 60-day suspended prison sentence and two years probation. John Allen Papelbon was also ordered to pay $8,884 (£5,553) in restitution after pleading guilty to walking away with between $2,000 (£1,250) and $5,000 (£3,125) worth of Frampton’s luggage from Denver International Airport.
On Friday (18Apr14), he confessed in a Colorado court to taking seven pieces of baggage belonging to the Show Me the Way hitmaker.
Authorities claim airport surveillance footage from 27 October (13) show a man matching Papelbon’s description leaving the airport in Denver, Colorado with the luggage.
Frampton was in Denver to perform at Beaver Creek.
