Pink Floyd fans unlock band’s back catalogue on Spotify

Pink Floyd’s back catalogue has been uploaded to Internet site Spotify after fans of the rock group hit the bandmates’ one million streams target on Monday (17Jun13). The bandmates have held out against the popular streaming service for years, but have honoured a promise to fans to unlock their hits after setting them a challenge.
Spotify bosses asked EMI executives and David Gilmour, Roger Waters and Nick Mason – the existing members of the band – if they’d reconsider their stance if fans flocked to the website to check out their 1975 hit, and the trio agreed.
The millionth stream was hit on Monday afternoon, according to RollingStone.com.
