Pink’s Touching Tribute To Celine Dion’s Late Husband Will Melt Your Heart

Pink has shown her support for Celine Dion by writing a new song, Recovering, for the artist.

Celine revealed she is now working on new music, but while she kept details of the project under wraps, she shared the news that Raise Your Glass singer Pink had contributed a song in honour of her late husband, Rene Angelil, who died in January aged 73, after a long battle with cancer.

In an interview ahead of rehearsals for her concert at the AccorHotels Arena in Paris, France, on Wednesday (06Jul16), Celine shared she has started to work on an English language album. “Pink wrote me a song,” the 48-year-old singer smiled to Entertainment Tonight. “She is phenomenal. I love her for her talent, for her strength, for her focus, the person she is.”

The pair are not known to be close friends, but Celine revealed how touched she was by the gesture after the she spoke to Pink at an event.

“At the Billboard Music Awards when I saw her, I said, ‘For you to take the time to really write a song, to give me a tool, a piece of luggage to help me to move forward to walk to keep going…”, she shared. “It’s called Recovering,” and, hinting that it’s set to be a huge hit with her fans, the five-time Grammy-award winner urged them to “get ready.”

Celine is in the midst of a major rebranding of her personal and professional life six months after her husband’s passing. Earlier this week (beg04Jul16) the singer made her first appearance at Paris Fashion Week since 2007, wowing the fashion pack with her rejuvenated style.

And on Wednesday the singer announced she is creating a lifestyle brand which will launch in 2017. According to Billboard.com, the My Heart Will Go On singer is teaming up with licensing firm Epic Rights to create a line of home goods, active wear, beauty products, eyewear, and travel products.
