Musician Pj Harvey was honoured by Britain’s Queen Elizabeth II during a ceremony at London’s Buckingham Palace on Tuesday (10Dec13). The singer/songwriter was presented with a Most Excellent Order of the British Empire (MBE) medal, while British cycling champion Bradley Wiggins became a ‘Sir’ when he was knighted by the monarch.
Acclaimed artist Sir Anish Kapoor was also knighted, while cricketer Wasim Khan was appointed an MBE.
