Playmate Rathgeb to serve nine years for shooting husband

The 66 year old also admitted she personally used a gun and caused great bodily injury to her husband, Bruce, who was shot in the back. He has since recovered and was present for the sentencing in Los Angeles on Wednesday (07Sep11).

Rathgeb was named Playboy Playmate of the Year in 1968.

The Los Angeles Times reports the former model and her husband were under the influence of methamphetamines and alcohol when the shooting incident took place at their West Hollywood home.

In exchange for her plea, the judge dismissed one count of attempted murder against her.

Rathgeb will start her prison sentence immediately.
