Playmate wins $1.2 million after suing New York cops

Stephanie Adams, who was a Playmate in 1992, began fighting with driver Eric Darko when he refused to drop her off outside her apartment building.

She claimed cops drew their guns on her and pushed her to the pavement after Darko told them she was armed and dangerous.

Adams, who successfully sued Darko for falsely declaring she had a weapon, took legal action against the cops, claiming the physical force officers used was unnecessary and left her with back problems.

The brunette beauty’s lawyer asked for around $800,000 (£500,000) in damages, but in a Manhattan court on Tuesday (21Feb12) she was awarded $1.2 million to cover her future pain and suffering and medical bills.

Adams says, “I was praying for justice and waited six years to speak my truth in court and I’m very grateful for the closure and the healing.”
