Officials from the Beverly Hills Police Department believe the PR guru, 64, was killed by Harold Martin Smith in November, 2010 while driving home from the Burlesque movie premiere.
Cops are convinced Smith, who had a long criminal record, acted alone, but he pulled a gun on himself before detectives had a chance to question him.
Authorities closed their investigation earlier this week (begs11Jul11).
