Polish officials help Pearl Jam bandmate enter country without passport

Pearl Jam frontman Eddie Vedder expressed his gratitude to authorities in Poland on Thursday (03Jul14) after they helped a member of the band enter the country without the proper documentation. The rocker was onstage at the Open’er Festival in Gdynia when he revealed an unidentified bandmate had misplaced his passport en route to the show and would have had to miss the gig had it not been for the help of local officials.
Thanking the “president of the area”, he said, “He had to call someone in Warsaw because one of us didn’t have his passport and couldn’t get in. Thank you the authorities – usually you want to say ‘f**k the police’, but they let us in to do the damn show.”
