‘Pretty Woman’ Hooks a Sequel?

So, did the hooker walk the steet again? Did the rich guy use a call-service again? Ah, the questions abound. And now, according to one report, they might be answered. A sequel to the 1990 comedy hit “Pretty Woman” — the film that made Julia Roberts a star and made “King David” Richard Gere a reborn star — is nearing reality, with a usable script completed and the original stars (and director Garry Marshall) circling, gossip maven Liz Smith says.

Fortunately for movie fans everywhere, Disney — the studio behind the original film — today told Hollywood.com that there is no script, no “Pretty Woman 2” on the boards there.

Roberts, Gere and Marshall last year teamed for the equally fluffy comedy hit “Runaway Bride.”
