Prince Charles unharmed after car attack

The heir-to-the-throne and his wife Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, were being chauffeured to the city’s Palladium Theatre to attend the annual Royal Variety Performance when they found themselves targeted by the unruly demonstrators.

Protesters kicked at the couple’s black Rolls Royce and the vehicle suffered a cracked window in the incident, while the body of the car was splattered with paint.

The Prince and the Duchess were not injured in the attack and appeared calm and collected upon their arrival at the charity concert, where they greeted the night’s performers, including Kylie Minogue and boyband Take That.
