Producer Robbie Little dies en route to Cannes

British filmmaker Robbie Little has died en route to the Cannes Film Festival.
The Little Film Company founder was set to present the drama Mrs. Lowry & Son, starring Timothy Spall and Vanessa Redgrave, at Cannes.
He was travelling to the festival from London when he died unexpectedly, according to Screen International.
Little has been partly responsible for more than 300 movies, including Waking Ned Devine, The Secret of Roan Inish, Mrs. Dalloway and Before Night Falls.
He also founded Overseas Film Group in Hollywood, and he is a founding member of the Independent Film and Television Alliance and The Archive Council.
