Quentin Tarantino scraps Western plans after script leak

Director Quentin Tarantino has axed plans to shoot a new Western after the script was leaked. The Pulp Fiction filmmaker was in the early stages of putting together his next movie, The Hateful Eight, and gave a first draft of his script to just a handful of people.
However, Tarantino was shocked to discover his team had been bombarded with calls from agents putting up their clients for roles, and he is convinced a copy of the script has been circulating around Hollywood.
The screenwriter/director admits he is fuming over the leak and has now cancelled work on the project.
He tells Deadline.com, “I’m very, very depressed. I finished a script, a first draft, and I didn’t mean to shoot it until next winter, a year from now. I gave it to six people, and apparently it’s gotten out today.. (Someone) has now passed it on to everyone in Hollywood. I don’t know how these f**king agents work, but I’m not making this next. I’m going to publish it, and that’s it for now. I give it out to six people, and if I can’t trust them to that degree, then I have no desire to make it. I’ll publish it. I’m done. I’ll move on to the next thing. I’ve got 10 more where that came from.”
