Late The Waltons star Ralph Waite’s passing will be noted as part of an upcoming episode of hit TV drama NCIS. The actor portrayed the father of Mark Harmon’s character Gibbs on the show and writers are planning to include a brief tribute to the star in the upcoming season 11 finale, according to TVGuide.com.
A spokesman for the show says, “The writers are working on something special to address the passing of Ralph Waite in the season finale of NCIS to honour both the memory of Ralph, as well as the character of Jackson Gibbs.”
Waite, who made his NCIS debut in 2008, passed away on 13 Feb (14) at his home in South Palm Desert, California.
