Randy Travis performs for first time following stroke

Country star Randy Travis has performed for the first time since a debilitating stroke two years ago, paying tribute to a dear friend at his funeral.
The Forever and Ever, Amen singer is slowly regaining his abilities following his 2013 health scare which left him unable to walk and talk.
And while he continues to recover, he made a rare public appearance at a memorial service for his friend Pierre de Wet during a ceremony on 3 February (16).
South Africa-native de Wet, founder of the Keipersol Estates winery, passed away at the age of 61 on 26 January (16), but prior to his death, he laid out specific plans for his funeral and memorial, which included a performance by Travis.
Per de Wet’s request, Travis sang classic hymn Amazing Grace in front of the more than 1,000 attendees at the KE Bushman Celebration Center in Bullard, Texas, with family and friends singing along with him.
In addition to Travis, Alabama frontman Randy Owen also took the stage to perform a songs to honour his late friend.
