Rapper Kodak Black released from solitary confinement

Jailed rapper Kodak Black has been moved out of solitary confinement.
The hip-hop star was slapped with numerous felony counts after a Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) team raided his Florida home in January (18) and uncovered two guns and a stash of weed.
Kodak, real name Dieuson Octave, was taken into custody for grand theft of a firearm, possession of a weapon by a convicted felon, marijuana possession, child neglect, and probation violation charges.
He has been in custody ever since, and last week (ends16Mar18) it was reported he had been moved to solitary confinement for 30 days after allegedly calling someone from the prison’s phone and asking them to connect him to a person he was barred from talking to.
According to Billboard sources, he was taken out of solitary confinement on Monday, and following his release, Octave took to Twitter to thank singer Chris Brown for allegedly giving him $10,000 ($7,100) to use while he is in prison.
“Fresh out the bing… that boy @chrisbrown just dropped 10 racks on my books, that’s love,” he wrote.
Brown has yet to comment on Kodak Black’s Twitter message.
Meanwhile, Octave previously insisted the gun and drugs found in the raid on his home had nothing to do with him, and in February (18), one count each of possession of a weapon or ammunition by a delinquent, grand theft of a firearm, and child neglect were dismissed. He also pleaded not guilty to possession of cannabis and possession of ammunition.
The rapper is also facing prosecution for first degree criminal sexual conduct, after allegedly assaulting a teenage girl at a South Carolina hotel following a concert in 2016. He was indicted by a grand jury in October (17) and freed on bond on 1 December (17). Kodak faces up to 30 years behind bars if convicted in that case.
