U.S. reality star Roy Garber has died after suffering a fatal heart attack at the age of 49. The Shipping Wars regular went into cardiac arrest at his home in Texas on Friday night (17Jan14) and was admitted to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead shortly afterwards.
Garber became a popular figure after appearing on the A&E network series, which follows a group of independent shipping contractors who specialise in transporting odd-shaped goods. The show premiered in 2012.
A statement released by A&E executives reads: “We are deeply saddened by the loss of a member of the A&E family. Our thoughts are with Roy’s loved ones during this difficult time. He will be missed.”
