Reba McEntire’s sitcom cancelled

Country music star Reba Mcentire’s U.S. TV sitcom Malibu Country has been axed after just one season. McEntire played a divorced woman attempting to revive her singing career on the series, which debuted on America’s ABC network last November (12) and featured guest appearances from Tisha Campbell-Martin and Blake Shelton.
The first season ended in March (13), and now ABC bosses have revealed they are not renewing it.
However, McEntire refuses to be downbeat about the axe, writing in a series of posts of her Twitter.com page, “So I guess you’ve all heard we did not get a 2nd season pick up for Malibu Country. Not to worry. Everything happens for a reason! Here’s to our new and exciting adventure, whatever it may be. SO looking forward to it. Love you all for your constant support!”
