Rebel Wilson to star in Les Norton TV series

Rebel Wilson is returning to her native Australia to star in a TV series based on Robert G. Barrett’s Les Norton books.

The Pitch Perfect actress will star alongside Alexander Bertrand, who will play Norton, in the series about a man on the run from Queensland, who lands a job as a bouncer at an illegal casino in Sydney. He soon becomes caught up in the criminal underground.

The 10-part series will be directed by Jocelyn Moorhouse, Fadia Abboud, David Caesar, and Morgan O’Neill, who created it for TV alongside writers Christopher Lee, Samantha Winston, Shanti Gudgeon, Malcolm Knox, and Jessica Tuckwell. It will also star David Wenham, but it is unclear what role Wilson will take on. It will air on Australian public broadcaster ABC.
