Rich Homie Quan facing countersuit over unpaid music royalties

Rapper Rich Homie Quan has been hit with a countersuit in his dispute with executives at his record label over unpaid royalties.
The Type of Way star sued bosses at Think It’s A Game Entertainment for $2 million (GBP1.25 million) in August (15), alleging he is owed the money from sales of several albums.
He also claimed they misappropriated $159,500 (GBP99,690) in funds for a real estate project in Atlanta, Georgia and held on to $550,000 (GBP343,750) from a distribution deal with executives at Def Jam, linked to his hit album Type of Way.
In September (15), bosses from the label blasted the lawsuit, calling the claims baseless and they asked a judge to dismiss the the case.
Earlier this month (Nov15), they took the dispute one step further and filed a countersuit, accusing the 26 year old of breach of contract, and requested an injunction preventing him from releasing any new music and signing with a new label. They are also seeking a full account of any money he made from deals he signed or music he released without their permission and they are asking for the original contract to be deemed valid, according to Bossip.com.
