The fashion designer, who already has two kids with her rocker husband Joel Madden, prompted reports the couple was set to expand its family when she was snapped in Los Angeles sporting what appeared to be a small baby bump earlier this week (begs04Apr11).
But Lionel Richie’s daughter has dismissed the claims and hit out at the press for reporting something so trivial.
In a statement to UsMagazine.com, she says, “Contrary to recent speculation, I am not pregnant. This irresponsible reporting continues to feed an atmosphere of self-doubt and insecurity. To publicly point out a change in anyone’s body is mean spirited and cruel. People’s bodies change and change again.
“This is not newsworthy and is a waste of valuable media space that should be used for more important issues.”
Richie and Madden, who wed in December (10), are parents to daughter Harlow, three, and son Sparrow, 18 months.
