Rihanna looks set to release new music soon as she’s registered a new song named Private Loving.
The Bajan pop superstar last released new material back in 2016 and since then fans have clamored for a follow-up to her album Anti.
And it seems fans may not have long to wait as the 31-year-old has registered the new track with American performance rights organization Broadcast Music, Inc. (BMI).
Details of the song have yet to be revealed, but the other credited artists indicate it could be a return to her Caribbean roots, as Jamaican dancehall musician Demarco is listed as a co-writer.
Also credited on the track are U.K. rapper Monique Lawz, and ATG Musick, aka Alexander Ogunmokun, a London-born producer specializing in Afrobeat, hip-hop and R&B music.
According to the Twitter fan account, Rihanna News, Lawz and Demarco both confirmed they worked on the song, with the former writing “I CANNOT BREATHE!!!” in a since deleted tweet, and the latter doing so via a direct message.
Last month (July 2019), the Umbrella hitmaker trolled fans who had been pleading with her to release new music, jokingly posting that a new album was imminent, alongside a video indicating the statement was “a lie”.
