Rob Lowe and Ginnifer Goodwin sign up for John F. Kennedy biopic

Actors Rob Lowe and Ginnifer Goodwin are set to play husband and wife after signing up to star in a new drama about former U.S. President John F. Kennedy. The former The West Wing hunk will play the assassinated politician, while Goodwin will portray First Lady Jacqueline Kennedy in upcoming TV movie Killing Kennedy.
Michelle Trachtenberg will round out the cast as Russian-born Marina Oswald, the wife of accused killer Lee Harvey Oswald, who was shot and killed by nightclub owner Jack Ruby before he could face trial.
Production on the project, based on author Bill O’Reilly’s bestselling novel of the same name, is set to begin in Richmond, Virginia next month (Jun13). It will air on the National Geographic Channel later this year (13) to coincide with the 50th anniversary of Kennedy’s death, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Excited about the prospect of showing off her foreign language skills in the role, Trachtenberg took to Twitter.com on Tuesday (28May13) to share the news with fans, writing, “Excited to FINALLY announce I’m starring with @RobLowe in @natgeochannel movie KILLINGKENNEDY as Marina Oswald, Lee Harvey Oswald’s wife! This will be my first role speaking entirely in Russian.”
