Robert Pattinson went guitar shopping with Brad Paisley

The British hunk has dabbled in music, composing and recording two songs for the vampire franchise’s first film, Never Think and Let Me Sign, and he recently made a pit stop in the country music mecca to check out the selection at Gruhn Guitars.

Pattinson was browsing the axes on sale when the singer offered up a little shopping advice, but the actor had no idea he was chatting to the Grammy winner because he looked just like any other customer.

Pattinson tells U.S. TV host Jimmy Fallon, “I went to the special room upstairs. There was a guy there in a baseball cap and he was just playing guitars. And he was kinda one of those guitar people who just seem really impressive, but he just seemed like a normal guy and was really sweet.”

The pair sat down in the store and played a few chords, and Paisley even offered to test out the actor’s favourite instruments to help the amateur musician pick the perfect guitar.

He continues, “Every single time I touched a guitar they (the employees) were like, ‘Do you want Brad to just play it?’ I was like, ‘Well,’ I just thought it was a guy who worked there. And I just had no idea who he was… I bought a couple little instruments and that was that.”
