Roberts may join Clooney again

Hot off collaborating on Steven Soderbergh‘s upcoming thriller Ocean’s Eleven, Julia Roberts and George Clooney are looking to work together again.

Roberts is in negotiation to star in Clooney‘s directorial debut Confessions of a Dangerous Mind for Miramax. Drew Barrymore and Sam Rockwell (The Green Mile) are also on board.

Based on the memoirs of game show producer Chuck Barris, the story revolves around Barris’ other day job–as a government assassin, with the game show gig acting as a cover. However, in the course of juggling two lives, Barris (Rockwell) has to contend with two relationships–one with his unsuspecting girlfriend (Barrymore) who simply thinks he’s a producer and the other with a fellow CIA operative (Roberts).

Clooney will play a CIA recruiter who goes after Barris.

The film is being adapted by Being John Malkovich screenwriter Charlie Kaufman. A production start date has yet to be determined.
