Robi Draco Rosa battling cancer again

Singer Robi Draco Rosa’s cancer has returned after the musician appeared to have beaten the disease last year (12). The singer, 44, first revealed he was battling non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma in 2011 but was declared cancer-free in December, 2012 and he returned to the studio to work on his album Vida, which was released in March (13).
The Grammy winner played two sold-out shows in his native Puerto Rico earlier this month (Dec13), performing with an all-star line-up including singer Ricky Martin, but on Monday (09Dec13) his manager Angelo Medina revealed Rosa’s illness has returned.
The manager said in a statement, “Draco now faces a new challenge. I have to say that the courage and will Draco has is out-of-this-world. He also kept me in silence, even being as my own child, he wanted his encounter with people to be natural and not be evaluated as a person who had a condition. He told me the night of the Latin Grammys and I became an accomplice of his silence, because of his love for the art and wanting to give these concerts in Puerto Rico.”
Medina added, “Draco is now taking time for advanced treatments and will continue with his commitments in Mexico, the U.S. and his ongoing work on a new album.”
