Robin Thicke’s Blurred Lines banned from British university

Robin Thicke’s smash hit single Blurred Lines has been banned from a British university over its controversial lyrics. Officals at Britain’s University College London student union has prohibited the song, which peaked at number one in 14 countries and also features Pharrell Williams and rapper T.I., from being played on campus or at any events.
The ban follows a statement by the University of London Union staff making clear they will no longer allow the song to be played on college grounds.
Susuana Antubam, Women’s Officer at the University of London Union, called the lyrics, “a monstrosity of phrases rapists have been known to use against victims.”
