Animated family film Mr. Peabody & Sherman has outsmarted Robocop to open at the top of the U.K. box office. The Dreamworks movie, featuring the voice of Modern Family star Ty Burrell as super-intelligent dog Mr. Peabody, has debuted at number one with takings of $6.24 million (£3.9 million).
The Robocop remake, starring Joel Kinnaman as the futuristic police officer, has entered the new countdown in second place with $3.84 million (£2.4 million), while The Wolf of Wall Street takes third place with $2.56 million (£1.6 million).
