Rocker and MTV VJ Jesse Camp reported missing

Rocker and former Mtv host Jesse Camp has been reported missing by his family.
Jesse, 38, who found fame in 1998 by winning MTV’s Wanna Be a VJ reality competition, was reported missing by his sister Marisha last Thursday (19Jul18). Police officers in Riverside County, California have launched an investigation.
A police spokesperson told the New York Post’s Page Six gossip column that Jesse, real name Josiah Camp, had been calling his elderly mother every week but has not contacted her since 11 or 12 July.
Law enforcement officials also told Page Six that an ex-girlfriend of the TV presenter and musician had tried to call him but told officers a stranger had picked up his mobile phone and told them that Jesse had handed him the phone and three bags of his property.
Marisha also reportedly told police her brother had been depressed recently but did not indicate whether he was suicidal.
According to U.S. gossip website The Blast, Jesse was stopped by an officer outside a hardware store in nearby Fontana, California, the same day he was reported missing in Riverside but he was deemed to be fine and no further action was taken.
As an 18-year-old he found fame on the MTV reality series and went on to present the channel’s flagship show Total Request Live. He later embarked on a music career, and in 1999 released his debut album Jesse & the 8th Street Kidz.
The record featured a duet with Stevie Nicks but received mixed reviews and failed to make a significant impact in the U.S. charts.
