Rocker Jimmy Nalls dead at 66

Guitarist Jimmy Nalls has died, aged 66.
The rocker co-founded Allman Brothers Band splinter group Sea Level.
News of his death was first reported on the Allman Brothers Band Facebook page, where a writer called Nalls “a tremendously talented guitarist and wonderful friend.”
Nalls, who was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease in 1994, passed away after falling at his home in Nashville, Tennessee.
Born in Washington, D.C., the guitarist co-founded Sea Level with Allman Brothers stars Chuck Leavell, Lamar Williams and Jaimoe in the early 1970s. They recorded and released five albums before splitting in 1981.
Nalls also performed with B.J. Thomas and was part of T. Graham Brown’s touring band until his Parkinson’s diagnosis.
News of Jimmy’s death is a triple blow for fans of the Allman Brothers Band, who are still mourning the recent deaths of Gregg Allman and Butch Trucks.
