Rocker’s lawyer reveals client was on steroids when he allegedly hired hitman

Heavy rocker Tim Lambesis was taking steroids when he allegedly hired a hitman to kill his wife of eight years, according to his lawyer. The As I Lay Dying frontman is charged with soliciting an undercover police office to murder his estranged wife for $1,000 (£645), but his attorney Thomas Warwick claims his client’s thought processes “were devastatingly affected by his steroid use”.
Lambesis was arrested earlier this month (May13) and pleaded not guilty to the charges at an arraignment hearing on 9 May (13), where he was ordered to wear a GPS monitor and stay away from his estranged wife and their three adopted children upon his release from jail.
Lambesis’ wife filed for divorce last September (12), claiming her husband had become emotionally distant and was preoccupied with bodybuilding, touring and tattoos.
