Rockers Jawbreaker lose gear in robbery

Reunited punk pioneers Jawbreaker have had a treasure trove of musical instruments and recording equipment stolen from their California storage unit.
The influential rockers, who originally enjoyed success in the late 1980s and early 1990s, took to Facebook on Wednesday (17Jan18) to reveal their gear had been taken in a robbery “sometime between December 7, 2017 and January 10, 2018”.
Among the main items taken were external hard drives containing the “digitized master tapes” of some of the band’s earlier work, and the bandmates have asked fans in Northern California to alert them if the thieves try to offload the goods in public.
Jawbreaker, featuring frontman Blake Schwarzenbach, bassist Chris Bauermeister, and drummer Adam Pfahler, reunited to headline the 2017 Riot Fest in Chicago, Illinois, 21 years after calling it quits, and they have followed up the successful show with a series of other tour dates.
