Rockers Minus the Bear calling it quits

Rockers Minus The Bear are hitting the road for a farewell tour before calling it quits after 17 years together.
The Seattle, Washington-based band will travel across North America for the final time this autumn (18) and treat fans to one last EP, titled Fair Enough.
The quartet, comprised of singer Jake Snider, guitarist Dave Knudson, bassist Cory Murchy, and musician Alex Rose, announced the news to fans in a joint statement released on Tuesday (17Jul18).
“Friends, After almost two decades of writing and touring the world together, we have decided to close this chapter of our lives as Minus the Bear,” the stars write.
“What started as a silly inside joke inside the dingy confines of Seattle’s original Cha Cha Lounge back in 2001 quickly snowballed into years of adventures, creativity, and friendship. We could have never predicted the wild journey about to begin. We’ve accomplished so much over the past 17 years, and we are grateful for the experience.”
The band members go on to express their undying gratitude to devotees for their years of support, and conclude the note by adding, “We are honored for the opportunity to play our hearts out for you one last time.”
Minus the Bear have released six albums, with their last release, VOIDS, hitting retailers in 2017.
They will kick off their final tour in Nashville, Tennessee on 9 October, and wrap up the trek with a homecoming gig in Seattle on 14 December.
