Roger Daltrey fears Rihanna is destroying herself

Rock veteran Roger Daltrey feels sorry for young pop stars including Miley Cyrus and Rihanna as he fears they are destroying themselves in a quest for never-ending fame. The Who singer admits his bandmate Keith Moon’s notorious headline-grabbing antics paved the way to stardom for the band in the 1960s, but he despairs at some controversy-hungry modern singers.
Daltrey is adamant raunchy stars such as Rihanna are in danger of wrecking themselves in the pursuit of fame, and he has warned them to keep a grip on reality if they want to stay in the game.
He tells Britain’s The Sunday Times Magazine, “We used to smash stuff up, but they’re smashing themselves up. I feel sorry for them, because you see them struggling just to hang on to any sense of reality. Becoming famous is the weirdest thing in the world. Everyone treats you differently.”
