Roger Moore was unable to walk after pneumonia battle

Sir Roger Moore had to learn how to walk again after he was left bedridden for weeks with pneumonia. The former James Bond star was struck down with the potentially deadly lung illness last year (13) and it took medics so long to find the right combination of drugs to treat him, he was unable to walk once he recovered.
Moore had to be taught how to get up and get moving again – and he also blames the illness for his recent rapid hair loss.
He tells U.K. TV show This Morning, “It took them quite a while to discover the right antibiotic. I had so many antibiotics pumped into me and was bedbound, and it ended up I had to be taught to walk, literally. And also my hair started to fall out rapidly, which it has done ever since.”
Moore had battled pneumonia as a child, when he was on the brink of death in hospital before making a recovery.
