Ronan Keating quits Australia’s The X Factor

Irish singer RONAN KEATING has quit his role as judge on Australia’s THE X FACTOR after five years.
The former Boyzone singer, who has been on the judging panel since 2010, has announced he will not be returning to the 2015 series so he can concentrate on his music career.
He tells Sydney’s Sunday Telegraph newspaper, “I’ve had five great years working on an amazing show with a brilliant team of people… But I’m working on a new solo album and different projects so I can’t make it back this year, sadly.”
News of Keating’s exit emerges weeks after his TV co-star Redfoo was reportedly dropped from the judging panel.
Singers Dannii Minogue and Natalie Bassingthwaighte are set to return for the seventh season of The X Factor Australia, which will begin auditions later this year (15). Their new co-judges have yet to be announced.
