Ronan stars in anti-bullying campaign

The Lovely Bones star can be seen crying in a dramatic photo included in the Irish Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children’s (ISPCC) latest awareness drive.

Westlife singer Mark Feehily, who also features in the harrowing shots, came up with the idea for the campaign after he was targeted by bullies in his youth.

He says, “I know first hand how the impact of being bullied as a teenager can quite literally last a lifetime and I thought that if we could involve well-known ISPCC ambassadors perhaps people will think twice about bullying or indeed allowing bullying to happen.

“Everyone involved believes strongly that the message that emanates from each shot is a simple one. Bullying and abuse, whether verbal, physical or emotional, is unacceptable in today’s society.”

Music mogul Louis Walsh and singers John and Edward Grimes also appear bloodied and bruised in the shots.
