Rose Leslie kicked Kit Harington out to avoid Game of Thrones spoilers

The final season of Game Of Thrones is testing Kit Harington and Rose Leslie’s romance.

The actress, who portrayed Ygritte on the fantasy series, is still a big fan and she doesn’t want to risk stumbling across a spoiler in one of her fiance’s scripts, so she kicks him out of their London home when he’s prepping for his TV return as Jon Snow.

“The new episodes for the final season were coming through onto his iPad, and I can read his facial expressions,” she told U.S. talk show host Seth Meyers. “I don’t want to know anything that’s going on, like, within his eyes or anything like that, so I send him packing. I kind of boot him out, so that he can go to the coffee shop.”

She adds, “I’ll know, I’ll be able to gauge. If he, like, stiffens, then I know that, someone’s dead. And then I’m like, ‘No, I don’t want (to know)…’ and then my mind goes off in imagination.”

One of the cable network bosses behind Game of Thrones has confirmed there will be a major shock death or two in the final episode of the show, revealing the last moments of the program are going to be both breathtaking and tearjerking.

“It was a really powerful moment in our lives and our careers,” said Francesca Orsi, HBO’s senior vice president of drama, at a recent conference, recalling a cast table read. “None of the cast had received the scripts prior, and one by one they started falling down to their deaths… By the very end, everyone looked down and looked up and tears were in their eyes.”

Orsi also tells Variety the cast gave the show’s writers a 15 minute standing ovation after the table read.
