Rose Tattoo drummer facing firearms charges

Australian drummer Paul Demarco has been slapped with 27 charges over allegations he set up illegal gun sales. The Rose Tattoo rocker was arrested on Tuesday (01Apr14) alongside two others in morning raids at properties across Sydney.
He has been charged with 27 offences, including supplying prohibited weapons and ammunition.
Demarco appeared in Parramatta Local Court via videolink on Wednesday (02Apr14) and was denied bail. He will remain in custody until his next hearing on 9 April (14).
The 55 year old joined Rose Tattoo in the early 1990s when they reformed to support Guns N’ Roses on an Australian tour and has since appeared on two albums, Pain in 2002 and 2007’s Blood Brothers.
