British actor Rupert Grint has been put off drugs for life after watching Shia Labeouf take an acid trip for a film role. The Harry Potter star appeared alongside LaBeouf in Charlie Countryman and was stunned when his co-star took powerful hallucinogen LSD for real to help him portray a drug user in the movie.
Grint admits seeing the Transformers actor trip out made him realise the dangers of illegal substances.
He tells Britain’s The Guardian, “He smashed the place up, got naked and kept seeing this owl. If anything will make you not do drugs, it’s watching that.”
