Disgraced filmmaker Rupert Sanders has signed on to direct a new biopic about French military leader Napoleon Bonaparte. The Snow White and the Huntsman director has been hired by Warner Bros. executives to take charge of the project, titled Napoleon.
Sanders, who began his career as a commercials director, made his big screen debut with last year’s (12) adaptation of the fairytale classic, which grossed more than $396 million worldwide.
He made headlines when he was caught romancing his leading lady Kristen Stewart. The affair ended his marriage to model/actress Liberty Ross.
