Former True Blood star Rutina Wesley is engaged after confirming her relationship with another woman.
The actress, who also features in Ava DuVernay and Oprah Winfrey’s TV drama Queen Sugar, recently started sharing photos of herself and her girlfriend Shonda, a chef based in New Orleans, Louisiana, on Instagram, and over the weekend (18-19Nov17), Rutina revealed the couple is planning to wed.
She posted a series of photos of the pair, including one of Rutina kissing Shonda on the cheek, and concluded the collection with a close-up snap of a sparkler on her left ring finger.

In her accompanying caption, the bride-to-be expressed her love for her future wife and referred to Shonda as the “LIGHT of my LIFE” and the “FIRE of my LOINS”.

She continued to gush about her new fiancee in her hashtags, adding,

The marriage will be Rutina’s second – she was previously wed to actor Jacob Fishel from 2005 until their split in 2013.
