Ryan Wants a Split, Too

Meg Ryan has counter-filed for divorce from husband Dennis Quaid after the Hollywood couple failed to save their marriage, the Brit tabloid Express reported today. Quaid, star of the sleeper hit “Frequency,” filed for divorce from the “You’ve Got Mail” actress in July.

Recent reports had the couple attempting to patch up their marriage, with the pair recently photographed kissing near their home in Santa Monica, Calif.

But Ryan filed her own request for a divorce, citing irreconcilable differences, in L.A. Superior Court.

Quaid reportedly is said to be baffled by his wife’s actions. A friend of the couple is quoted by the Express as saying, “Dennis was shattered.”
