Australian actor Sam Worthington returned to the spotlight for the first time since his headline-grabbing arrest last month (Feb14) to launch his latest film in Los Angeles on Wednesday night (19Mar14). The Avatar star was detained by police in New York City on 23 February (14) and charged with assault for allegedly punching a photographer outside a bar in Manhattan, after the snapper reportedly kicked his model girlfriend Lara Bingle.
The 37-year-old actor has been lying low since the incident, but he made a return to the public eye on Wednesday by walking the red carpet at the screening of his new film Sabotage.
Worthington and Bingle put on a united front by attending the event together and hugging on the red carpet.
