Sarah Michelle Gellar was so desperate for a role on Robin Williams’ new TV series she “stalked” the actor until she secured a part. The Buffy The Vampire Slayer actress stars alongside Williams in sitcom The Crazy Ones and was so eager to play the Oscar-winner’s on-screen daughter that she even called his friends to rally up support.
She tells Eonline.com, “(I got the part because of) Robin Williams and I stalked him. I even called his best friend and I was like, ‘I have to be on this show. Please tell Robin!’ I really did.”
The Crazy Ones, which centers on father-daughter duo Simon and Sydney Roberts, who run an advertising agency together, will premiere on U.S. network CBS later this year (13).
