Sarah Michelle Gellar is lobbying producers behind her new sitcom The Crazy Ones to hire Pam Dawber as her TV mother so the veteran actress can be reunited with her Mork & Mindy co-star Robin Williams. The former Buffy the Vampire Slayer beauty portrays Williams’ daughter on the upcoming U.S. comedy and she reveals she has been trying to land another 1970s TV star as her onscreen mum.
During a joint interview for Entertainment Weekly magazine, Gellar tells Williams, “You know, I pitched Pam Dawber to play my mum on the show (to producers)… They said I was not the first person who brought it up.”
The veteran comedian admits he would love to work with Dawber again, replying, “If she came back, that would be like, thank you. I would cry.”
