Sarah Silverman’s Twitter account hacked

Sarah Silverman’s Twitter account was hacked on Wednesday (27Jul16), when a cyber criminal posted an anti-Hillary Clinton video on the comedienne’s page.
Two days after the actress delivered a passionate speech about why she was voting for the former Secretary of State at the Democratic National Convention (DNC) in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, a video link slamming the U.S. presidential candidate popped up on Sarah’s Twitter profile.
The post read: “America, are you awakening? #Hilary4Prison”.
The video, attributed to members of the Anonymous collective, first surfaced in April (16), and in the clip, a masked man takes aim at Hillary, stating: “Many believe and blindly support you. But we know your real intentions. Your real motives. And your real plans.”
Silverman spotted the post early on Wednesday (27Jul16) and quickly made it clear she was not responsible for sharing the clip.
“MY TWITTER ACCT (account) GOT HACKED THIS IS NOT ME,” she declared beside the unauthorised message, which has since been deleted.
Sarah was among the guest speakers as the DNC kicked off on Monday (25Jul16), when she shared her love for former presidential hopeful Bernie Sanders, but called on the Democratic Party to unite behind Hillary to defeat her Republican rival Donald Trump.
“I will vote for Hillary with gusto, as I continue to be inspired and moved to action by the ideals set forth by Bernie, who will never stop fighting for us,” she told the crowd during Monday’s speech. “I am proud to be a part of Bernie’s movement and a vital part of that movement, and a vital part of that movement is making sure Hillary Clinton is the next president of the United States.”
Hillary was officially selected as the Democratic Party’s nominee for the White House on Tuesday (26Jul16).
