The Broadway adaptation of Jack Black’s comedy School of Rock is heading to London next year (16).
Andrew Lloyd Webber’s New York stage show is drawing mixed reviews from critics following its opening at the Winter Garden theatre on Sunday night (06Dec15), but the theatre mogul is pressing on with plans to move to the West End next autumn. Producers are also planning a U.S. tour for 2017.
“I am thrilled to announce that we are confirming a West End production of School Of Rock – The Musical,” a press release from Webber reads. “We have had such a great time in the U.S. staging the world premiere and now that we have opened on Broadway, I am delighted to be focusing on the next chapter in the show’s journey.”
