Scott Eastwood sparked rumors he could replace Hugh Jackman in role of grouchy superhero Wolverine.
The 31-year-old actor and model opened up about his dream movie role, and told ComicBook.com he had ambitions to star as the Marvel hero, who also goes by the name of Logan.
“I mean, Logan! You gotta give it to Wolverine! Wolverine, all day,” Eastwood laughed.
Australian actor Jackman played the X-Men superhero until earlier this year (17) – first starring as Wolverine in Bryan Singer’s X-Men in 2000.
The 48-year-old starred in seven follow-up movies as the fictional mutant character, who has three metal claws in each hand. Jackman bowed out of the Marvel franchise after Logan was released in March.
Despite Eastwood’s enthusiasm to star as Wolverine, X-Men director Singer said after Jackman’s departure he couldn’t imagine anyone else playing the superhero.
Eastwood, who starred in anti-superhero movie Suicide Squad alongside Will Smith and Margot Robbie, is also set to to star in the upcoming sci-fi drama Pacific Rim Uprising.
